Scope and Contents
This collection contains records created or received by Eugene McDermott Director Jack Lane (1999-2008) or maintained by the Director's Office staff on behalf of the Director. The collection consists of chronological correspondence files documenting all correspondence going out under the director's signature; a series of alphabetical correspondence and subject files; and building and renovation project materials. The chronological correspondence series also includes the correspondence that went out under Interim Director Charles Venable (1998-1999). Common correspondents and subjects include professional associations (AAM, AFA, AAMD), City of Dallas, foundations and government grants, Beaux Arts Ball, 2x2 for AIDS and Art, C3 and Horchow renovations, Gluckman Mayner renovations, and Pendagram signage.
