This collection contains records created or received by Charles Venable, Curator of Decorative Arts from 1986-2002. Venable also served as Chief Curator. Topics documented in the collection include the Bybee Collection, Nasher Sculpture Center, Tabletop to TV Tray: China and Glass in America exhibition, silver, quilt exhibitions, Reves Collection and Wendy Reves, Centennial, Friends of Decorative Arts, strategic plan, collections plan / collection development, committee on collections, departmental meetings and administration, exhibition proposals, and photos.
