Checklist for unidentified Maples exhibition, c. 1940s
Scope and Contents
The Maples' Exhibitions series (1938-1990 and n.d.) documents the solo and group exhibitions Barbara Maples participated in during her lifetime. Many of the exhibitions were hosted by the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, including the various Dallas Allied Arts and Texas General Exhibitions in addition to regional shows of painting, sculpture, crafts, and printmaking. Maples' participation in the Printmakers Guild and Texas Printmakers exhibitions are included in the series. Items in the series include correspondence, exhibition catalogues, newspaper clippings relating to the exhibitions, and invitations.
