This collection combines various transfers of records documnenting the marketing, communciations, and public relations functions. The department names and responsibilities included in functions has changed orver time.

The files documnent the marketing, communciations, and public relations functions for acquistions, exhibitions, programs and events spanning 1960-2007. Marketing materials include ads, design, radio, media plans, and partnerships / sponsorships; communications and public relations materials include press releases, news clippings and reference materials. Other departmental records include administration and planning, Marketing Committee, and food service. Exhibitions and events that have significant documentation in the collection include: Hamon Building / Museum of the Americas, China & Glass in America, Degas to Picasso, Century of Modern Sculpture: Nasher Collection, Black Arts-Ancestral Legacy, an Georgia O'Keeffe: Poetry of Things (1998).

Records creators include: Records creators include Pat Porter, Debra L.
