Scope and Contents
This collection consists of records created or received by Curator / Senior Curator John Lunsford during his tenure at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1958-1987. The collection as been arranged in two series.
The first series is Correspondence which as been further arranged alphabetically by correspondent. Content of the correspondence dealer correspondence which may inlcude Lunsford's research notes on objects offered; loan requests; photography requests; scholarly inquiries and resesarch requests; gift offers; identification questions and requests for more infomation from the general public; exhibitions offered; recommendation requests; donor correspondence; and other internal memoranda and notes.
The second series is Subject Files. This series contains files on research topics and notes, private collections, travel, projects and institutional duties.
