Arrangement

This collection is arranged in four series: chronological correspondence, alphabetical correspondence, reference/subject files, and Board of Trustees. The alphabetical correspondence series is further arranged with a subseries for each year of Gates' tenure; correspondence is arranged alphabetically within each year. There is no identifiable arrangement to the reference / subject series, though like files are generally grouped together and may follow an alphabetical or chronological arrangement within the group. Board files are arranged chronologically with a sequence of general Board year files followed by individual Board and committee meeting files in a singe chronological sequence.
