Abstract
This collection contains the exhibition and installation records for projects held between 2008 and 2018. Exhibition and installation records include checklists, floorplans, contracts, touring proposals, installation guides, corrrespondence (email and letters) and notes.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged in four series. Series 1: Exhibitions is arranged chronologically by exhibition start date; Series 2: Projects is arranged alphabetically by project (folder title); Series 3: Installations is arranged alphabetically by gallery/space; and Series 4: Declined and cancelled exhibitions have no particular arrangement and have not been refoldered.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Departmental transfer from Irene Martin, exhibitions department volunteer, and Laurie McGill received in March 2019.
Appraisal
Declined and cancelled exhibitions with little documentation were discarded in accordance with the exhibitions records schedule directing the retention of those records only if significant work was done prior to cancellation.
Exhibition Dates Note
Dates given for exhibitions are the dates the exhibition was on view; creation dates for documents in the file may be before or after the on view dates.
Processing Information
Files were rearranged by exhibition start date; original arrangment was by exhibition project ID number. Arrangement by exhibition start date is consistent with all other exhibition records in the archives. Project ID has little meaning outside of the financial systems.
Collection processed by Hillary Bober; processing completed 15 March 2019.
Additional description/notes were added for DACS compliance and ArchivesSpace local usage guidelines in 2022.
