Scope and Contents

This collection is an artifical collection created by the archives to contain reference material on the museum and people connected to it. The files are arranged in two series: biographical and subject/topic. The bulk of the biographical files document museum staff, trustees, donors and collectors, but there are a few files on Dallas-based artists and art community members. The subject/topic series contains general reference material on gereral museum and Dallas arts history, museum departements and programs, major projects and initiatives, select objects/collections, and related organizations.

Files may include: news clippings, press releases, memos, photocopied documents, printed materials, CVs / resumes, and archives-generated summary information.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Collection created by archives staff based on research material gathered for the Centennial. Files have been added to over time. Materials continue to be added to files and new files are added as needed.
