Abstract
The Collection Documentation Photography collection contains photographic documentation of the installation and movement of specific permanent collection objects and loans; the planning, packing and reinstallation of the collection with the move from Fair Park to the New Museum downtown; and large collections.
Arrangement
The collection is loosely arranged into 4 groups: objects, loans, move, and collection. The informal groups were created by the archivist to cluster similar things together for arrangement purposes. Objects and loans are arranged within their respective group chronologically by accession number. The move folders are arranged in the order in which the move would have happened. The collections are arranged alphabetically by common collection name.
If there is more than one photographic media for a subject, all photographic media are foldered together for ease of user access; media formats are noted for each program in the description.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The Collection Documentation Photography collection is a combination of photographic documention that was already in the archives, slides transferred from the slide library, and digital photography on disk transferred from the Imaging department.
Physical Description
Collection includes all photographic media including slides; black & white and color prints; black & white and color negatives, many with contact prints; and digital images (CD and DVD; TIF and JPEG).
