Wendy and Emery Reves Papers
Scope and Contents
The collection contains materials created by or about Wendy and Emery Reves separate from the donation of the collection to the museum in the early 1980s.
The Emery Reves series contains miscellaneous correspondence and papers relating to two of Emery's publications The Anatomy of Peace and A Democratic Manifesto, including various editions of both.
The Wendy Reves series contains La Pausa-branded stationary, napkin and menu samples, DMA Silver Supper invitations, and news articles about her.
The Collection series contains miscellaneous correspondence, objects offered but not acquired by the Reves by material type; sales; reproductions of works in the collection; and invoice/receipts for furniture, porcelain, dishware and other decorative art objects purchased by the Reves.
The Churchill Materials series contains notes and writings by and about Churchill including an essay by Wendy about Churchill's time at La Pausa.

Abstract
The collection contains papers by or about Emery and Wendy Reves, dated between 1940 and 1992, including Emery's work as author and Winston Churchill's publisher, La Pausa, works offered and not aquired, invoices/reciepts for decorative art pieces, and reproductions of works from the collection.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged in four series: Series 1 are materials created by or related to Emery Reves; Series 2 are materials created by or related to Wendy Reves; Series 3 are materials related to the art collection; and Series 4 are materials related to Winston Churchill.
Custodial History
Items transferred to Collection Records 17 May 2011, were transferred back to Archives and incorporated in the Reves Papers, 11 July 2014: Reproduction Print of charcoal drawing of woman carrying wheat signed J.F.M.; Oversize Photographs of carved wood cabinet; Oversize Photograph of Manet's "Woman with Cross"; Correspondence and Invoices for furniture, porcelain, dishware and other decorative art objects.

Processing Information
Collection processed in 2011 by Hillary Bober when the Reves materials in Archives were reprocessed splitting the DMA created materials on the acquisition of the collection and the miscellaneous Reves created materials; this collection is the miscellaneous Reves-created materials.
Additional description/notes were added for DACS compliance and ArchivesSpace local usage guidelines in 2021.
