Scope and Contents

This collection consists of the business records of Emery Reves' company Cooperation Press Service and later Cooperation Publishing Inc. The records document CP's syndication and serialization of writings to international newspapers and publishers. Major works represented by CP include Winston Churchill's History of English Speaking Peoples and WWII memoirs, Harry Truman memoirs, "I Paid Hitler" by Fritz Thyssen, Bella Fromm's "Blood and Banquets", "David" by Duff Cooper, and Jan Karski memoirs. The collection also contains books, essays/articles and editorials written by Emery Reves and syndicated by CP including The Anatomy of Peace, A Democratic Manifesto, and other short form writings.

Files consist of extensive correspondence, agreements, royalty payments, and typescripts.

The collection also includes come corporate and financial records for CP, such as incorporation documents, board meetings, account statements, and inventories.
