Arrangement
This collection is arranged in six series. Series 1: correspondence and subject files, arranged with a subseries for each year of Parker' tenure; correspondence is arranged alphabetically within each year. Series 2: Board of Trustees are somewhat arranged by board year. Series 3: Administration has no identifiable arrangement within the series. Series 4: New Museum, arranged alphabetically by subject within the series. Series 5: Land Acquisition is generally arranged alphabetically. Series 6: Accruals has no particular arrangement.
The phyical folders of the 13 year-based subseries of the correspondence and subject files series have been combined into a single alphabetic sequence to faciliatate access and further processing. Boxes are labeled with alphabetic range of the contents, but this is not represented in the collection description and box list.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Departmental transfer prior to 2009.
Collection was re-accessioned in 2022 during the ArchivesSpace migration to incorporate a revised collection number.

Processing Information
Phyisical rearrangement of the correspondence and subject files series was completed by Mike Aday, Contract Archivist, in 2011.
