Scope and Contents
The collection contains reports on final results of visitor surveys and positioning studies, conducted by Alliance Research on behalf of the museum. Awareness and image studies were conducted in 1997; vistor surveys were conducted on five occasions between July 1999 and Winter 2001; and positioning tests were presented in late 2001.

Abstract
The collection contains reports on final results of visitor surveys and positioning studies, conducted by Alliance Research on behalf of the museum between 1997 and 2001.
Arrangement
Research results are arranged by type of project and then date.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Alliance research records were collated from multiple collections, including Marketing, Director's Office, Curatorial, and Development, to create a single comprehensive collection and remove duplication across the archives.
Appraisal
Data tabulations were discarded if a summary report or presentation was present. In the one survey for which no summary document was present, the raw data tabulations were retained.

Additional description/notes were added for DACS compliance and ArchivesSpace local usage guidelines in 2022.
