Scope and Contents

This collection contains records of the Dallas Museum of Art League / DMA League / Museum League dating between 1975-2001, though the bulk of the records are from the 1990s. Records on these topics are included: Beaux Arts Ball, Board meetings and minutes, cookbooks (Gallery Buffet Soup Cookbook and The Artful Table), President's Books, Scrapbooks, Tours and travel, and Volunteer program. Records creators are League presidents and committee chairs, and DMA staff.

The Nancy G. Sayles Photograph Archive consists of 258 color photographs taken by Mrs. Sayles in Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Morocco, Panama and Peru during the period 1975-1980. The ethnographic photographs primarily depict the wear and use of traditional textiles in their native context, though the collection includes complementary photographs of the landscape, architecture and general culture and activities in the documented areas.
