Susan Barnes and Emily Sano Curatorial Chronological Correspondence

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of the 1992 chronological correspondence of Susan Barnes, Senior Curator of Western Art, and Emily Sano, Senior Curator of Non-Western Art. Sano also served as Deputy Director in this period. Chronological correspondence files contain copies of every piece of external correspondence that went out under either Barnes' or Sano's signature. The collection may also contain copies of internal memos.

This collection contains records created or received by Tom Livesay, Assistant Director for Administration 1980-1984. Livesay's records consist of correspondence files, a chronological series for 1981 and an alphabetical series of correspondence and subject files. Livesay was Assistant Director during the construction of and move to the New Museum and many files relate to that in some way. The collection also includes Board of Trustees and Board committee meeting files.
