PC. Photography Collections

In 1993, the museum marked the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Dallas Art Association with an exhibition featuring an extensive illustrated timeline held in the concourse. The exhibition was curated by Natalie "Schatzie" Lee. The photograph collection consists of the photographs used in the exhibition timeline and those that were collected and selected for possible use in the timeline, and therefore had written captions.

This collection consists of photography documenting the An Affair of the Art annual fundraising event by the Junior Associates from 1994-2012. The photography includes print and digital images documenting the AotA event and associated events.

This collection contains digital images of the Art in Bloom annual fundraising event documenting the decor, attendees and program (fashion show, speakers) for 2002-2010.

This collection contains the gathered photographs from the two Bals Aux Chapeaux in 1955 and 1956 and Beaux Arts Balls held 1962-1993.

The Building Photography collection contains documentation of the interior and exterior of the museum facility, including construction and renovations of the facility and any former museum locations. The collection is arranged in five series: Previous Locations, Construction, Exterior, Interior and Damage Documentation. Collection includes all photographs on physical media.

The Collection Documentation Photography collection contains photographic documentation of the installation and movement of specific permanent collection objects and loans; the planning, packing and reinstallation of the collection with the move from Fair Park to the New Museum downtown; and large collections.

The collection consists of unbound pages from two scrapbooks: one of the museum building and activities and one of the collection.

The collection consists of object photography of deaccessioned objects. Photographs are arranged by object number and contain black and white print photography, black and white negatives, and/or color transparencies.

The Development & Event Photography collection contains photographic documentation of programs for donors and members organized by the museum's development department staff. Major programs included are Associates, Circles, Corporate, Friends Groups, Junior Associates, Museum and PM Leagues, and Special Events, among others.
